Chrissie Peto

My name is Chrissie Peto and I am currently in Year 11 at Allerton Grange High School. For my work experience, I spent two weeks working with Matthew Bellwood of Moveable Feast Productions. I was very pleased when he approached me with the offer of becoming assistant performer as I have had the privelege of working with him before in a previous play of his. *
During the two weeks I learnt a lot about the kind of work Matthew does and what his job involves. I spent much of my time making props and costumes for performances and workshops, which is something I have not had chance to do in the past. I also brought out the more artistic side of me!
The most enjoyable part of work experience was visiting two primary schools and taking part in a Greek workshop and a Viking Workshop. Matthew and myself worked with Year 3 children, helping them to create their own ideas in physical theatre and giving them the chance to wear different masks and costumes. It was nice to see them showing a keen interest and taking part in the activities and it felt good to be given responsibility as it gave me confidence in working with the children.
I very much enjoyed working with Matthew for the two weeks and I developed a good working relationship. I wish him all the best for the future and look forward to maybe working with the company again some time!
